I don’t have much info on Leslie’s in Scotland, like where they lived, what they did, when they left Scotland or why.

Mom was clan Leslie, Jasper Leslie fought for the British during Revolutionary War, even though he was born in America, was awarded 100 acres of land in Nova Scotia where my grandfather was eventually born. He migrated to the Boston area in early 1900’s.

Clint, very informative on what the septs are. I had always defined a sept as being adopted by a clan.
