So you just had a DNA test done and it says you're 37% (or some other number) Scottish. Where do you go from there? What clan does this connect you to? What should you expect from the results of this test. This is what we discuss in this episode. https://www.familytreedna.com/scottish-clan-list.aspx

Ok, not sure why my tag shows lpkjtk, but I am Hereld Stuart. I am curious about the clans' involvement in the battles of Dunbar and Worcester in the mid-1600's. Did whole clans support Charles II, and why? We suspect that our immigrant ancestor, Robert Stewart, may be the one listed as being on the "John and Sarah", which brought Scottish prisoners from the battle of Worcester to America as indentured servants. I am curious about these battles from the clan perspective. Thanks.

Hi Clint, thanks for all the great work on these podcasts. My yDNA tells me that I descend from Sir John Stewart of Bonkyll, probably through his son Alan of Dreghorn. Your info provides great contextual background for my Stewarts, even though I don't know which clan they belonged to, if any.
